Iconic fashion designer Diane von Furstenburg is calling on you to take part in an online auction benefiting the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The CharityBuzz auction is a partnership between the CFDA and Vogue and includes some amazing and one of-a-kind fashion experiences. In her PSA video, DVF says that “you can have lunch with me, attend a fashion show with Anna Wintour, or meet Michael Kors.” Proceeds from the auction will go to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and other relief organizations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Current bidding on a week-long stay at Tommy Hilfiger’s private estate in Mustique stands at $21,000, and one donor has ponied up $16,000 to attend next year’s Met Gala with Wintour and Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton. The auction has something for everyone, covering fashion, art, food, and entertainment.
There’s still time to bid on those and many others, like the chance to attend Victoria Beckham’s Fall 2013 show, or meet Vera Wang and get two seats to her Spring 2013 runway show.
The auction closes on Dec. 5 so make sure you check it out!
Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, Christmas is right around the corner!

Last month we featured a post on Maison Martin Margiela collection at H&M. The line launched on November 15 and drew smaller crowds than usual in Europe and the U.S. But diehard fans of the brand lined up at dawn for a chance to snag a collector’s item.
About 300 people were waiting for H&M’s Fifth Avenue flagship to open last week. Each store in Manhattan was given 430 color-coded wristbands to use for crowd control; 30 consumers could enter the store at one time. Many of the pieces sold out on Thursday, including the white sneakers and candy-wrapper clutch.
Most of the dresses are $199; a duvet coat, $349; a suede jacket, $299; leather belt jacket, $399; oversize peacoat, $349; leather drainpipe pants, $349, and car seat cover dress, $349.
Did any of you get your hands on the exclusive designs?
During Chanel’s Spring 2013 runway show, Karl Lagerfeld sent a giant version of a hula hoop down the runway and joked that you could use it as an umbrella at the beach. Most people probably assumed that it would never see the light of production, but now, thanks to being a hit on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram, the bag will soon be making it’s way to the shelves!
Paris department store Printemps has purchased the oversize runway bag and plans to sell it — and several much smaller versions — next Spring.
According to to Women’s Wear Daily, buyers and retailers are paying a lot more attention to what their customers like on social media, because they turn into actual sales.
Measuring 24 centimetres across, the mini hula hoop bag will retail for $2,400.
